Guikong (Placeholder) is a privacy-focused image annotation app that intelligently analyzes text in your photos and automatically redacts sensitive information. I often need to share screenshots and photos on social media and online, but manually redacting private text and info every time is tedious and ruins the aesthetic of the image. Guikong was created to solve this problem efficiently, and can automatically detect:

• Phone numbers, mobile numbers, email addresses
• Faces, QR codes
• Names, place names, institutions, company names
• Numbers, monetary amounts, IDs
• IP addresses, license plate numbers Besides traditional annotation tools like solid color blocks, pixelation, blur, and markers, Guikong also offers a unique Text Erasure tool that can fully hide text in images if its background is nearly solid color.

Privacy Policy

Powered by CoreML and Vision frameworks, Guikong uses entirely on-device recognition technology. It will never upload any of your images, and you might not even notice it does not request network permissions. (Note: If you have iCloud Optimized Storage enabled, a network connection is required to edit images.) We will continuously optimize Guikong's recognition rules, and hope it can help you protect your privacy more efficiently.
